Jasper (JJ) is executive vice president/regional president of the Florida region for Clear Channel Outdoor Americas with direct responsibility for a portfolio of 7 markets in North America. He works with the individual market leaders to create and implement strategies that affect all facets of the business, including sales, marketing, real estate, public affairs and operations.
He has over 34 years of experience in the out-of-home industry. Jasper began his tenure in the advertising industry in 1981 with ET Legg, Inc. as a Bill Poster where he learned all aspects of the Operations Department. In 1983, he joined Empire Outdoor, the 8-sheet division of Ackerley Communications as a Lease Representative. Shortly after, he was promoted to Regional Real Estate Manager for the South Florida Market, a position he held for five years. He then accepted the position of National/Local Sales Account Manager for the Junior Poster Division, focusing on major Multi-cultural corporations and advertising agencies in South Florida, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Nashville and Los Angeles. In 1990 he transitioned to the role of National Account Director for AK Media Communications responsible for promoting the South Florida market outdoor assets to media buyers across the Eastern Region of the United States. In 2000 he was promoted to the position of Vice-President/Sales Manager, responsible for managing all sales & marketing efforts for the South Florida Division. His primary responsibility was to develop and implement business objectives in order to acquire new customers and renew, as well as grow, existing accounts. In 2004, he was appointed President and General Manger of Clear Channel Outdoor for the South Florida Division.
Jasper serves on the Board of Directors of the Kingdom Life Community Services Inc. 501(c)3, a non-profit social and human services organization dedicated to assisting families and individuals to take the necessary steps toward achieving independent lives. He is also an active participant in Javanna Productions M.O.V.E. 501(c)3, a non-profit organization that raises funds and awareness for social causes and community projects via artistic productions.
